HTC has been revamping T Mobile’s device lineup for awhile now, presenting smartphone’s like the G1 and the myTouch; two cell phones that are on whole different levels than most T-Mobile cell phones. The latest punctuation in this trend has materialized in the HTC HD2 which is undeniably going to be at the head of the hardware market for quite awhile.
But what should you do if that 4.3-inch touch screen (or its accompanying price tag) is just a little too big for your pocket? It would appear as though HTC has anticipated this particular market segment - those of you who are willing to sacrifice a little on the display side to have a more portable and affordable device. The HTC HD mini is working with a pretty comparable setup to the HD2 - Running an HTC Sense overlay on top of Windows® Mobile 6.5 and retracting screen size to still highly usable 3.2-inches.
Although not too many other specs are known about this device I’d imagine the cost of one of these little guys is going to be a far cry from the HTC HD2 if purchased out of contract. An April launch has been confirmed in Asian and European markets hopefully followed debut into the American smartphone market shortly after.
